“It was perfect!”
“Try not to get killed…”
Lawl (again…), I watched it on animegiant.com, like Hammie said, and it surprisingly good!
The sound (Ichigo’s voice) seems wrong at the start, but I just copied the myspace link into the address bar: http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=57650529
Not cool. I finally got caught up on my bleach watching. I really wanted to see this episode…. T.T
Have we only met Ichigo’s and Renji’s swords? It seems like they’ve stopped having manifestations anymore. Just occurred to me that Kisuke mastered his bankai the same way as Ichigo, which means it was manifested forcibly (is that even a word?) and he had to fight a girl (Benihime). He seems like he would not like doing that.
By the way, I am glad they made Sajin’s bankai so defensively powerful because being basically physical only seems like a big weakness otherwise (at least Renji’s can shoot blasts).
By the way a crab, an eagle, a pilot whale, a rose, a tiger and an elephant. Strange assortment of minions.
To whoever Login 7 is, thanks for posting that link. That ep was pretty good. Finally got to see the dog face captain in action…
wow. that last ep. was a let down. Ikaku needs to stop bein a douche.
I was mainly upset on a couple reasons. one ikkaku i felt like didnt even need to use his bankai. i wish it was going to be like him just dragging the fight as long as possible. ikkaku didnt fight at all really
. when komamura came out i was like ” ok finally komamura is going to redeem himself from his defeat against kenpachi and aizen (which cant be helped) but when he first punched poww i was like ok good entrance… but then poww knocks him into oblivion i thought that maby komamura was going to block the hit with his head or something that would of made it alot better. then komammura used bankai…. on a FRACION…. really nao… hes not even the elite fracion for baragan. i expected him to own him with shikai but nope bankai.
damn i wish ikkaku would have just kicked his ass.
Well I like that I got to see that whale dude dead, lol
FINALLY!!!!!!!… lol, at the end when they suddenly showed komamura’s ears twitching, i just immediately started laughing… also, i have ALWAYS loved his bankai, its the strongest brute-force bankai out there… — ichigo is a speed bankai and kenpachi is just a brute-force fighter… Ikkaku’s bankai is probly the 2nd strongest brute-force bankai… lol
also, the arrancar encyclopedia thing… funny, but not as funny and random at Komamura’s ears twitching in middle of the conversation…
I think they chose to use Komamura’s bankai because you’re not goin to get to see 2 giant things attacking each other very often. Maybe a little overkill, not to mention I don’t remember ever seeing Koma’s shikai in the first place…??? but anyway. I think they just did it for the whole 2 giant monsters fighting in the middle of a japanese city thing… sort of like something that has to be done. haha.
Anyway, they just made ikkaku out to be a weak idiot in that episode, which is why i hated it. He’s not weak, but he really does seem to be a little bit of a prideful idiot. Same with the other guy never using his shikai in front of people cause he doesn’t wanna get harrased. boohoo!
damn this episode i cant wait until ichigo and ulquorra fight. i wan to see ichigo turn into the complete hollow he is.
Wow ikkaku dam u suc more then renji
( my opion) and he had 2 be the one i thought the”beautiful guy” (no homo) was weaker but it seems not and he is smarter
P.S I HOPE RENJI DIES
P.S.S IKKAKU IS A DOUCHE BAD 2 THE MAX
I’m getting the sense that Ikkaku is being misunderstood. For those wondering why the writers had Ikkaku deliver such a “weak” performance against the Fraccion he was facing, go back to episode (#218). Start at 05:34 to 07:40 about, there is an indirect explanation that takes place after Yumichika’s defeats that transvestite.
Also, one thing to consider, is that the Fraccion Ikkaku was facing was the most powerful one out of the four that were sent to destroy the pillars. Yumichika explains why he himself was reluctant to use his sword’s Kidou based attack while out in the open, notice that he uses it only after the tranny traps him in that black rose bush dome where no can see him. Ikkaku never bothered to use his Bankai at all while outside where everyone could see him.
Ikkaku’s reluctance to use his Bankai immediately should give you the impression that using Kidou based weapon attacks (that includes Bankai) while fighting under Zaraki Kenpachi’s 11th squad is probably considered cowardly, and disgraceful according to his philosophy. Remember, the belief for now is that the Captain doesn’t have a second Shikai form, or Bankai for that matter. Hell, he doesn’t need it, Ken’s a fucking demon lol.
The idea behind this has to do with Zaraki Kenpachi’s philosophy when it comes to fighting, and the whole 11th squad mindset. Ikkaku (particularly), and Yumichika have deep admiration towards Zaraki Kenpachi, so they are willing to imitate their Captain…even if it means death.
I personally think that Kenpachi would have been dissapointed in both Ikkaku and Yumichika though. Cause above all Kenpachi likes it when his opponents fight with their full strength. and I think if he found out they were holding back. despite what abilities they had, he would probably tell them straight up that they are stupid.
Ikakku’s Bankai doesn’t even use Kido anyway. so I don’t know why he would worry about that. He just seems to not want people to know he’s reached bankai. For some stupid reason that they really have yet to explain, more than him just wanting to keep it secret. I don’t think that helps him any not using it though.
I can understand yumichika not using his shikai cause of the kido thing, but i still think he’s a little bit of a wimp for that. really, boohoo if he gets ragged on. I don’t think anyone has the right to harrass someone that can kick your ass. which, yumichika with his shikai, could probably do to everyone in squad 11 except kenpachi, including ikkaku.
anyway, maybe it just erks me. My whole strategy behind fighting is to go full bore from the beginning. Do everything you can to win, and do it as quickly as possible. You try and give any less cause you want to see how strong your opponent is, and it can lose you the fight if your not careful. Just give it your all, if you win, you were stronger, if he wins, he was stronger. None of this build up to your strength crap. I’d pull a thing like Komamura where i’d just wip out my bankai and finish it on the spot. No need to drag the fight on longer than needed. anyway, that’s my theory on fighting.
the reason for ikkaku not showing is bankai has been stated many many times. plain and simple if anyone was to find out ikkaku had a bankai he would be promoted to captain to fill in one of three vacant captain spots. He doesnt want to do this because hell leave kenpachis squad.
Pepito32: You are welcome. Thanks for the thanks.
Jeetkundo: These other people are right. Ikkaku’s bankai does not use kidou. It is brute force (I guess) like Renji’s and Konamura’s. He just does not want to get promoted to a higher position in another squad because he wants to stay with Kenpachi. Squad 11 is meant to have people below the rank they deserve. Ikkaku and Yumichika could easily be VC’s. Rukia too (13 not 11 though), she did defeat an Arrancar.
ShiniGummy: I believe Konamura’s Shikai is JUST the arm rather than an entire giant. And I like some “quick-enders” and some “hidden powers” types of fighting. I like seeing Byakuya, Kisuke, Yoruichi (sp?) or Hitsuygaya just come in and end everything (doesn’t seem to happen much anymore). I like seeing Yumichika bide his time until he can reveal his powers. Ichigo is more the second as well. Though he isn’t holding back so much as his powers wait to “pop-out.” A mix is more interesting than all “quick-enders” to me.
All: Was I wrong about meeting the zanpakuto manifestations? Just Ichigo and Renji? Hmm… I guess Hyournimaru (sp?) in the Diamond Dust movie talked and stuff… did that count?
Login7: I figured Ikkaku’s Bankai wasn’t kidou based the first time I saw it, I wasn’t disputing against that with anybody. What I was referring to was the unwritten rule that applies to both Kidou attacks, and Bankai (Kidou based, or other) that stems from Kenpachi’s way of thinking when it comes to fighting.
Yes, Ikkaku doesn’t want to be promoted, but there is a lot more to that. Yumichika explains it in ep. (#218) after he slays the tranny. Basically the point I was trying to put across was that Ikkaku was not weak, like some believe, he was just conflicted.
Here can anyone tell me the last time a Good guy died in Bleach? I mean yea they get there as*’s kick and are on the verge of death but then they get healed and all set to go one episode later. Sorry but this is just getting Lame, the bad guys die left and right and when they don’t die they tend to come back as good guys just wait and see.
Jeetkundo: No offense meant, sorry if it was taken. I wonder if Kenpachi does have an anti-bankai slant (or maybe it is just rude to do something your captain can’t?). Also, I had meant Rukia defeated an ESPADA in my earlier comment (just a correction).
Same Old Same Old: So EARLY in the series I had noticed that, but it was true of EVERYONE, not just good guys. Renji “died” at the hands of Byakuya but later was fine. Now, only Hollow-things seem to actually get killed, huh? Kaien (?) Shiba is the only exception I can think of… and he’s actually returned once or twice (sort-of, the Espada Rukia fought). I suppose with Orihime (and Hachi) around not very many people could permanently kill a good guy though, so even if it happened it would be reversible, but that is sort of annoying.
Login7: None offense taken, brother. I tend to ramble on too long when expressing my views and that detracts from the point I’m trying to make, lol. I don’t know, Kenpachi is an unusual person. He doesn’t allow his squad to unravel their full potential but expects them to conquer their challenges relying on physical strength alone. I don’t know if his subordinates can live up to those expectations (considering Ken’s unique strengths), even though Ikkaku seems the most determined to emulate his Captain.
Overall, I feel what you’re implying, it is possible that Ken’s negative feelings toward Kidou and Bankai could be encouraged by his ego. After all, he doesn’t have any kind of relationship with his sword and never really had to rely on it’s full potential. Also, Rukia did tap that Espada ass in dramatic fashion.
I guess I did forget about the whole Bankai would make ikkaku captain thing.. That makes more sense now. I understand a little more now.
I do hope he decides to use it though.
go to planetblaech.com to see episode 220
I think Wounderrice Is in the soul socity
Nice ep the next one is goin to rule 2
stupid mega video! ugh!!!!!!!
When that Poww guy was on his knees, I was saying to myself “Finish him!” Komamura sure kicks a lotta ass. So awesome…
I would’ve never thought that Iba would give such deep advice. I always passed him as more of the easy going crowd. I think he’s right. Ikkaku should swallow his pride.
That little exchange between Toshirou and Rangiku was hilarious
“I’ll make you pay for everything you destroy.”
holy sht dude… from here on out it’s gonna get bad azz!! I’ve been waiting for the real battle!! it’s gonna be awesome dude!!
nice episode
