This Zanpackto series is awesome. Hollow form Ichigo was incredible, and poor Zangetsu, I wonder if he’s really turned rouge because he seemed like he was holding back in his fight with Ichigo by not finishing him off with his attack? Hmmm…so many questions. But I bet I know who Muramasa belongs to. I’m not mentioning names but it would have to be the one who never seen with a zanpackto when she fights.
Mecca, that’s a pretty good guess, I like it. This filler story line is almost better than the real one!!! It was great to finally see Ichigo fight again, it’s been so long. What I really can’t wait for is for all the vizard to return to the original story line and kick some Aizen ass!!! Have a feeling I won’t see that till next year sometime.

Zangetsu was suppose to help Ichigo. Ichigo is the only one that can hold back his hollow form. Zangetsu helps Ichigo become more resilent so he’ll be able to control both hollow and regular forms. Kind of a sad episode, imo.
Zangetsu didn’t realize answering “the call” puts Ichigo at risk of becoming the horse in his own body.
I think Ichigo will be able to control all hollow forms, he just needs experience with them.

So… I guess that stuff about a zanpakuto dying (in the Intro) when the shinigami does is (or at least may be) no longer true.
It looks like Muramasa has set the zapakuto portion of Ichigo’s powers free, so Zangetsu has ICHIGO’s reiatsu but not the Hollow’s, and is now a separate entity from Ichigo and the Hollow. Ichigo still has his own reiatsu (but not Zangetsu’s powers) but ALSO the Hollow’s powers and reiatsu. That’s how I think of it at least. This fits with how the Hollow (white/inverse Ichigo) describes himself AS Zangetsu (they are the same, but if Ichigo does not want to fight, the Hollow takes over) and the fact that Ichigo lets off both the black and red energy (Hollow) AND the blue and white (Zangetsu) in this episode.
Interestingly, Muramasa looks FAR more frightened of the Hollow than Zangestu does. I am still leaning towards Muramasa being Kenpachi’s, BUT Yoruichi seems possible. I’ve never seen Nanao or the Kenpachi’s pink-haired parrot’s zanpakutos either. Anyways, I wouldn’t imagine Kenpachi’s zanpakuto being frightened…
Poor Komamura’s still unconscious. The guy can’t catch a break, two out of the three fights he’s been in he’s been 1-shotted.
This arc is interesting and if it weren’t filler it could lead to long term changes, such as the Shinigami having to make better offers to their zanpakuto.
Also, whose Zanpakuto is Muramasa? I don’t think it’s either Aizen’s or Kenpachi’s, though its powers seem suited to the former.

Awesome episode but to CaptainKian, I dont think it would be Aizen’s, his zanpaktou is Kyouka Suigetsu.
what about ikkaku… when he uses his bankai he says that it has to draw blood to reach it full power maybe he is calling it by a wrong name like yumichika im not sure but its pretty plausible plus there is no way they would reveal kenpachi’s zanpakuto in a filler and not in the manga right

COMPELTELY DIFFERENT body in the Ihcigo/Ulq fight. That fight had like a SS2 Ichigo. In this episode, we have seen this hollow before. When Urahara turned Ichigo into a hollow and when the Vizards were training him
OOOOOOO MMMMMMMM GOD That is badass, and i’m pretty sure everyone noticed, but i’ll point it out anyway, Ichigo’s sword is still in Shikai form (I think that’s what it’s called) So does that mean Zangetsu is still in Ichigo? O.o

muramasa has to be kenpachi’s, aand here’s why
zanpankuto are borne in the heart of a shinigami, thus he has to come from one, also it has to be someone like keny.
keny doesn’t believe in the power of the zanpankuto, so his might aswell be sealed as far as he’s concerned, furthermore he believes any shinigami who relies on their zanpankuto is weak.
therefore a zanpankuto that takes other zanpankuto powers away seems an awful lot like keny’s style.
shinigami are like the sun and zanpankuto like the moon (yin and yang), they bring balance to each other, and over time as their relationship grows they will eventually eclipse and become like one, harmony of will and purpose.
this is why old man yamamotos zanpankuto wouldnt join them, and why zangetsu is calm and deliberate, while ichigo is reckless and passionate.
also this why other than yamamoto (who was obviously caught off guard) and keny, ichigo is the only one with a chance of defeating muramasa, since his spiritual pressure can spike to rival keny’s.
but more interesting is the fact that killing him would change very little since keny does not rely on his zanpankuto, but rather his own spiritual pressure; still what if keny where to beat him into submission himself, thereby gainning access to his bankai (and without even taking regard to his name) “the power to suppress (seal) other zanpankuto” (or in the case of arrancar rather to restrict them from releasing their true forms).
anyway no wander keny’s zanpankuto wants to escape, and release the others aswell, his experience under a shinigami like keny has to be none to pleasant.

of course zangetsu is not afraid of the hollow, because ichigo is a vizard, thus his zanpankuto has to live with the hollow just like ichigo does (unlike those of normal shinigami, such as kenpachi zurachi).
oh and anyone who reads the manga just keep it to yourself, besides their no reason this show has to follow the manga exactly (take deathnote for example, and any american comic franchise), you do realise that just like these so called fillers they can expand existing storyline also.
they are doing all of this on purpose because they want to add to the richness of the story, this is there chance to add in reasoning and backstory not possible within the confines of the manga format they have chosen.
btw i love “fillers, because they fill in the caps, and add depth to the story (eventhough they could have shortened the bount thing a bit, since the whole thing was realy only about developing ichigo, and had very little impact on anything else), but i do like the flashback stuff (plus its brief and to the point)

Muramasa seems like he would be Kenpachi’s zanpactou since you dont see any other characters who cant contact there spirt. also there are a few times during and after his first fight with Ichigo that he wonders what happend to his spirt. Although Muramasa could be Izan’s spirt since they have similar powers. Mabey he tricks the other Zanpactou spirts that they are being used and therefor infuriating them and causing them to rebel in such a way.
This isnt somuch a filler as a new ssn all together. The timezone i would put on it is just after Izan so I cant see it being his spirt although whoknows we will see when it gets back to the main line. This couldalso explain how he could use cero since you dont see him doing so in any previos episode. I could see this show having another 40-50 episodes before the main arc and Izan is defeted or all soul society defeted.
The reason Muramasa is suprised when Hollow Ichigo shows himself isnt hard to figure out. Most if not all opponets and allies that Ichigo has when they first see him transform are shocked by what they see. Also it would have been very easy for Hollow Ichigo to show himself once “the old man” was seperated because he was already in banki and anytime he used banki when he first was learning to control the Hollow side of him he would begin to transform into Hollow.
Also i belive that there souls are still linked for death. If the soul reaper dies then the zanpactou spirt also dies and visa versa. Could explain why none of the spirts have made the move to actually kill there soul reapers even though they have had tons of chances to.

I dont think Muramusa or however u say his name belongs to anybody we know. Yet anyway. I know this because of the hilt on his sword, i’m guessing all of you know that the hilts are the resemblince between Zanpoktos and katanas? Anyway, if i were to guess, he is probibly trying to free all the zanpakto because he got left behind by his soulreaper some how? And the fillar will likely end with him and his soul reaper reuniting or something…lol haven’t seen that one before =_=; .

Oh, lol thought i should say this, but MuraMusa’s hilt on his sword looks like the Geass Symbol from “Code Geass” lol. Sry had to say it XD. Hmmm… it would be funny if Muramusa belong to Lelouch/Zero…lawl.

Yes, I beilive this is true. As seen in episode 124-125 (around there lol) Ichigo learned that Zangetsu and Hollow Ichigo are one being of Ichigos soul. However, once the hollow started to take control, Zangetsu nolonger was the domanant one of Ichigos powers. Thus, Ichigo fought his inner hollow and defeated him, by doing so Zangetsu regained supremasy over Ichigos soul and powers. ———–
—–> But, without Zangetsu, Ichigo has no other powers in his possesion other than Hollow Ichigo. So, Hollow Ichigo once again has become the one in charge of Ichigos inner powers. ;_; sad for Ichigo but cool for us cause Hollow Ichigo full-form looks badass lol *thumbs up at u”.

First and foremost THAT WAS A KICK ASS EPISODE. Seriously man that was AWESOME.
Secondly I think ur all wrong: I think that Muramasa is not Kenpachi’s or Yoruichi’s Zanpakuto. It has to be someone’s we have never seem before.
Thirdly #22 Twilight, that was super funny. I couldn’t stop laughing for hours.
Fourthly, Hollow Ichigo is Kick-Ass. To bad he can’t control it. and the only way to learn is by being it but that could kill everyone!!!!
5thly, can explain wat is going on. I mean really: is this happing before or after the fight with Aizen.
Sixthly, they messed up big time. Seriously; everyone else can only use their katana’s but Ichigo gets his shikai form but i only think its because he was in his bankai form.
Seventhly, u can never tell if Zangetsu is worried, scared, confused or not because he always has a serious face on and so does Muramasa; but yes he did have a hint of a worried look on his face when he turned into that Hollow form after he sent “old man Zangetsu” flying threw a wall.
8thly, don’t get me wrong these episode are freakin AWESOME but i just want to see Ichigo/Hollow Ichigo mess Ulquiorra up. I mean did u see the look on his face the episode before all this happened. He looked like if he was saying ur gonna die this time.
9thly, I think that now thanks to Muramasa that they have to kill their Zanpakuto’s to get them back because that shows them that they are strong without them and are worthy of having them as their Swords known as Zanpakuto’s. Plus Muramasa needs to get his nails trimed. God he cant even hold a sword right for pete’s-sake.
O and #31 ur missing an a in Zangetsu. And #34 I think ur right’ Zangetsu helps Ichigo control his Hollow, and nice memory u got there about the horse stuff.
And finaly, I think that if they kill their Zanpakuto’s they won’t die and Muramasa knows that.
This hollow form is nothing compared to what he looks like when he goes insane against Ulquiorra, also Murumasa or whatever his name is wouldn’t be a zanpaktou that belonged to Kenpachi, don’t you think he would be more insane and battle loving? like the soul that created him?
They mentioned earlier that when the zanpaktou is removed from the shinigami that only the powers of the sword are taken, the reiatsu and the like are still within the shinigame just the power to use it is gone. Unless you count their “magic” attacks.
When it gets back to the orginal story the episodes are gonna be sooo much better cause Ichigo starts kickin a hell of a lot of ass though he gets the crap kicked out of him at first and when he does kick ass he still doesn’t have any control but still, it will be awsome.
I know this cause i read the manga, be smart, do that so you know in advance..
i know why ichigos zankpakuto stays in shikia form.its because his holllow part is part of his zanpakto. 1 time when ichigo was trying to talk to zangetsu his hollow showed up instead and gave that whole king and horse speech and said that he was zangetsu just that he was in controll of old man zangetsu. so when murassama took old man zangetsu out of ichigo his zanpaktuo stayed in shikai beacause of the hollow part and also thats why his zanpacto never goes back to normal because his zanpactu has 2 souls in it. and i belive thats why ichigo went to full hallow so quick becaus old man zangetsu was in controll of the hallow in him,and when he left the hallow took controll when he was hurt.
also i forgot to mention. theses are some awessom eps for fillers and this episode was amazing. ive been wating to see full hallow ichigo actully fight instaed of when he was trying to controll his hallow with the vizards

actually i have a theory that maybe his zanpaktou stage determines his look in hollow mode. if you notice you see this form when his zanpaktou is in shikai form, but the form he took with ulquiorra, his sword was in bankai, so he was much more stronger with horns on his head and taller when he transformed.
ok…. so totally a rip off from manga… way to not come up with knew ideas >.<…. totally was happens with fight against ulquiorra

I think it was the vice-captain of Ukitake from the flash backs that rukia had killed of when he had the hollow enter his body
no if a zanpankuto dies the soul reaper loses thier power (/is sealed), like when they are defeated and the sword breaks, they don’t die. the shinigami is the soil not the seed (if the soil is salted the plant dies).
kenpachi’s sword is in shikai because of his intense spiritual preasure, like ichigo, so we have no idea what the hilt of his katana looks like but i asure you that it is the shape of a katana (only shinigami with katana style shikai retain the hilt’s form, this is not true for the sabers, rapiers, spears, ball & chain, or any of the other weapon type, yet all shinigami carry katanas).
no zanpankuto is like their user, atleast not at the beginnig of their relationship (this only changes as the shinigami and zanpankuto grow closer together, they become like each other and grow stronger by finding balance) someone like kenpachi would never be like his zanpankuto or vise versa (in fact that is the only thing they would really have incommon from being forced into a relationship niether of them really wants, is their desire to stand apart), kenpachi does become like anyone else, he is stuborn and only follows his own way.
kenpachi constantly reminding others to stay out of his way or he’ll kill them, in contrast (an thats the key to identifying a zanpankuto’s shinigami) his zanpankuto wants to gather his brethren to his side even though he shuns the companionship of shinigami.
also i have noticed that he is scared, much like kenpachi’s blade, think of the beating he took under kenpachi’s hand without any empathy or appreciation, imagine what that might do to a zanpankuto’s personality.
zangetsu emotion is in his words by the way, he like a father to ichigo, because ichigo relies on him in this way with all things shinigami, in his fight he voice reluctance and regret.
and yes, they probably do have to beat their zanpankuto back into submission unless somebody defeats muramasa and breaks his bankai’s enchantment, still the opportunity exist for all lot of people without bankai to earn thiers now.
oh yeah that’s another reason kenpachi and his zanpankuto would not be alike, they really only start to grow closer once they can manifest (after attaining bankai), before that they dont really speak face to face with thier zanpankuto, and lack this opportunity.
however muramasa’s bankai is one keny might actually use despite his distaste for non physical attacks, of course he would have to find someone who made him take off his eyepatch before he would even consider it, and then only as a last resort (basically i feel bad for muramasa even if he is acting like a brat, he shouldn’t have to live under that kind of oppression, it must be like hell for a zanpankuto especially one that probably doesn’t want to fight judging from his power).

Muramasa is most likely Aizen’s, the scene with one of the zanpaktou that almost gone rogue, where his touch is enough to influence them again. For example. Seems like Aizen’s Zanpaktou evil skills.
Other contestants for me are Kenpachi’s Zanpaktou or Yoruichi’s Zanpaktou.
