Just started watching, but is the hooded zanpakuto Kenpachi’s? Hmmm… I guess it responded to Byakuya, so maybe not but I think the implication is that they are the three strongest other than the captain’s… seems like Kenny’s would be in that mix… Plus that’s a good way for the filler to include his without revealing secrets that the main arc has not given (by having it hooded) (well I guess they did give some info not in the main arc, but who cares about the VC for squad 1?).
I really don’t think this will come-up, but what happens to a zanpakuto when you sever a soul chain or whatever (I am wondering what happened to Ichigo’s (old) zanpakuto when Byakuya took Rukia’s powers from him, before his own were awakened)? Is it just gone?
Incredibly boring episode. My theory on the hooded figure…it’s another shinigami. I can see no reason why it would go out of its way to avoid Ichigo like that. Perhaps we’ll see next episode.

Concerning Shunsui Kyōraku’s zanpaktou , i thought zanpaktou were based on a shinigami’s soul.So, how come his zanpaktou(s?) were females when he’s a male? Or was that based on the fact that he’s a womaniser? Strange. I really find that part of the ep. very confusing. I really do hope that’ll be explained later. In conclusion, i can’t say much for the whole ep. except this, i wasn’t really impressed with the whole ep.
i new soifon cared about youroichi like a sister becasue yourichi thought of soifon as a little sister but that ending just reach a new lvl of FAIL!!! LOL

Well, not really as you can see renji’s zanpaktou is partly female im not shure about the snake.
what i want to know is, is yamaji (yammamoto) trying to get people to stay away from him, or is that his zanpaktou is just going crazy and yamaji is just trying to keep it in check as best possible.

About Yamaji, i think it’s one of the following possibilities:
1) Yamaji is using his zanpaktou to try and break his way out of the prison without verbally expressing it(Remember Mayuri Kurotsuchi, the 12th squad Captain, said that there is a telepathic link between Shinigami & Zanpaktou?) or
2) His zanpaktou is trying to break out of the prison of it’s own accord.
Either way, they both want out!
