So that was Muramasa’s plan all along! To free his master/weilder, Kouga! And it seems all he needed to do that was Ryūjin Jakka’s power and Gramp’s knowledge on how to break Kouga free of the seal! WELL, AT LEAST WE NOW KNOW WHOSE ZANPAKTOU MURAMASA REALLY IS! SO,THAT SETTLES THAT ARGUMENT!However, i’m confused about one thing-how come they were abe to seal Kouga away and not his zanpaktou? I mean, he must have been weilding/holding muramasa when he was being sealed away, right? So, how were they able to miss sealing him while they sealed his master?! Strange.
Another thing-was i the only one who noticed the suspicious way Muramasa stared at Byakuya while Byakuya’s zanpaktou was addressing them? Why is he still keeping them by his sides anyway? After all, he’s gotten what he wants, right? Anyway, i still believe Byakuya is working undercover. After all, he’s working with the other remaining Gotei 13 captains against Aizen in the main arc, right? And, it’s very obvious that all the events in this filarc all happened b4 the Hueco Mondo part of the main arc.
In conclusion,awesome ep.! Nice and wonderful fighting/action scenes.I didn’t know fire could be frozen! I don’t know about the rest you guys, but i really want Muramasa to free his master from the seal,so that he and Ichigo can really get at it! Now that’ll be one crazy fight! And the fight between Kenny and Kokujō Tengen Myō’ō ? I don’t expect it to be less than awesome next week!

Maybe he(Kouga) is of the Kuchiki blood-line and Byakuya is just tagging along so that he can go head to head with Kouga for soiling the family name (and hence Byakuya’s ‘pride’). So maybe his pride in this case is actually his family name which he probably wants to bring honor to by dealing with Kouga!
Gah! This episode frustrated me so much xD I was having a mental rant at Ichigo and the other captians when they were trying to “Defeat” the fire (Wth Lightning?! Swords?! What are they thinking?) and they couldnt work out that that water puts out fire! I was sat mentally yelling “Where is Toshiro when you need him?”, but then he appeared so it made it all better

@chacej7…Its not stupidty…it’s Orihime’s character to be that compassionate. Its fine that you feel that way, but you are assessing her strength as a weakness. How many people do you know that are strong enough to heal their enemy and not try to destroy them? (look at the real world and the wars going on now). She is a protector. A care-giver. AND she has great faith in Ichigo. She fully & deeply believes he will ALWAYS save the day.
I’ve been thinking this since Byakuya started helping Muramasa and seeing that Muramasas master is still alive solidifies my thinking that his master is Byakuya’s father and thats why he is willing to help him. Byakuya said that he is helping because of pride and what does he have more pride in than his family?

From the beginning i new that murmasas owner was going to part of byakuya’s bloodline i know it hasnt been revealed but thats what i felt through the whole thing. It does makes sense now when he talks about his pride.
Orihime came in contact with an arrancar b4 going to hueco mondo. if you go back and watch the ep. where Tsubaki was destroyed in battle, you’ll see that Tsubaki was destroyed by an an Arrancar and that explains how she’s familiar with an arrancar’s reiatsu! i kinda think that urahara just tries to keep a low profile. i mean, im sure hes not exactly on good terms with soul society or any of that. even after the truth about the vizard thing was revealed. he still made the hougyoku(sp?). and besides, he probably knows that ichigo can handle it by himself. if he jumped in and saved the day every single time since hes the strongest, ichigo would never get stronger and all that. plus, ichigo is the hero and if they made urahara fight all the time, ichigo wouldnt be needed.
